Subtle Yet Stunning

 

Sometimes a little bit of the right makeup goes a long way! We kept it simple for this weekends bridal trail, adding flare where necessary. We optimized this bride to be's glow with MAC Soft and Gentle Mineralize skinfinish Paired with MAC's Melba Blush

On the lips she has Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide on lip pencil in Liar Paired with MAC Blankety for the perfect natural pout. Her face has Kat Von D's Lock it foundation with a quick blow over with Dinair airbrush. Her lashes are Red Cherry, and her eye look was created with Kat Von D's True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Saint. (My bridal go-to!)

Mistletoe Blues

Is your kisser mistletoe ready? Or does winter have you all chapped and peely? Here's something to try! My lips are pretty sensitive to this winter weather, we don't like this season very much. I gave Tarte Maracuja Lip Exfoliant a try and it worked like a charm! I swear this stuff is magic. Normally I will do the Vaseline on my lips trick at night for softer lips but in the winter it just isn’t enough. I highly recommend this witch magic.... I mean, lip exfoliant!

1. NYX Auto Eyebrow pencil- Fantastically inexpensive and great for Frugal Fannies
2. SEPHORA Retractable Brow Pencil - Waterproof and slim! This brow pencil is the less expensive version of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, It just doesn't come in as many colors and the brush at the end isn't as fancy. I like how slim the pencil is, it makes it easier to mimic brow hair.
3. MAC Eyebrows- Current favorite! Very similar to Sephoras Retractable brow pencil. Slim and easy to use.
4. Makeup Forever Aquabrow- This brow liquid is better for gals that are more confident in their application skills! With this you will need a brush: try MAC's #209 brow brush. (<- Fabulous buy) One thing I love about Aqua brow is, it stays put until you wash it off!

1. Benefit's Highbrow pencil- This soft brow highlighting pencil is your instant brow lift! Perfect for all skintones, the linen-pink highlight hue adds a lifted look to the entire eye area. 2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow gel- It's a clear gel for all hair colors that sets, defines, and holds brows in place all day. I have tried the dupes but I promise they do hold shapeas well or as long.

I am always open to trying new mascara options, I have a hard time picking favorites. Younique fiber lashes is amazing! Putting it on does take some getting used to. Once you get the hang of it you can definitely make your lashes BIG! My first try was a little shaky.

When you order it comes with 2 tubes in a cute little box. The larger tube is the gel and the smaller tube are the loose fibers. What you do is: put on 1 coat of your normal mascara (not necessary but this is what i did in the photos above and it is what the instructions it came with said) then you apply the gel coat from the middle of your lashes to the tip. You do not want to apply from base to tip because some peoples eyes might get irritated from the fibers. The last step is you take the smaller tube with the fibers and apply them to where you just applied the gel. You may repeat the last 2 steps to make your lashes bigger and bigger.

 

 As some of you know I am almost a daily falsie wearer, but his mascara gives you mega volume so falsies are pretty much unnecessary. I for one am not ready to break up with my lash strips, HOWEVER, this Fiber lash mascara is my new ultimate favorite for my bottom lashes! I mean, look how awesome they look! After I put it on I went and asked my boyfriend and asked him if he notices anything different as I batted my eyelashes and he said, "Your lashes look way thicker!" -That will make any girls day!

FIERCE

 Last week while at MAC I got a surprise makeup appointment with Joelle. An even bigger part of this surprise was it was for her ENGAGEMENT PARTY!!! Excitement flooded my heart! In the Lebanese culture Engagement parties are a big whoop! I was beyond pumped to get to work with Joelle to make her ultra glam! Joelle was looking for a dramatic cat eye similar to the picture above. My go to look seems to be somewhat in the middle of dramatic and natural. I normally tend to stick with accentuating natural beauty, then again most of the time the makeup I am doing is wedding with the occasional pinup. I was pumped for this dramatic challenge because its something I don't get to do too often! All of the products used were MAC Cosmetics.

My skin perfecting army:

• Prep + Prime BB Compact- Solid cream formula that perfects, protects, evens out and illuminates the complexion for flawless results.
• Studio Sculpt Foundation- Medium/Build able coverage with a satin finish. This is great for dry skin but also helps with oil control and will not make you break out. I would use this on most skin types.
• Prep + Prime Eye-Smooths textures, neutralizes lid colour. Use under eye shadow, pigments, paints and concealers.
• Studio Finish Concealer- A lightweight, creamy, discreetly opaque concealer. Provides a smooth, long-wearing invisible coverage for all skin blemishes. It is also water-resistant!

Glam Eyed

• In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash- adds volume, extends length and creates curl, while conditioning for softness and flexibility. The final result: extreme dimension that won't smudge, clump or flake.
• 36 Lash- Originally launched as Sultress Lashes. Full lash, creates a naturally dramatic look
• Duo Eyelash glue
• Scotch tape!!! To get those nice sharp cat eye angles (not sold at MAC)
• 3 of the Pressed Pigment eyeshadows (not pictured) blended from inner corner to outer- Angelic (bright off white with shimmer), Enlightening (deep silver), and Jet Couture (black with thick pieces of glitter) On top of Angelic I lightened it up with Gesso eyeshadow which is a vivid white matte.
• I deepened the top and bottom corners with Devine Night Kohl Power eye pencil in Feline. It was only fitting to use Feline for this look ;)
