I love art in general, and making up faces has been a great way for me to utilize my creativity. I started off doing theater makeup in college. I keep my theatrical makeup fresh by doing my 31 Days of Halloween project each year where I collaborate with Kreativ Studios! Straight out of College I was in sales and I worked at beauty counters on the side. It was while I was working for Lancome that I was like "Hey! I'm actually really good at this!"
Beauty makeup and theatrical makeup are two different worlds. I feel that it is comparable to learning how to ride a bike with out the training wheels first and then putting the training wheels back on after. It seems like I learned the hard stuff before I got into the pretty makeup. I love both worlds I have just come to find that I enjoy the beauty makeup more. It is SO rewarding to make a girl feel as gorgeous as she is. I have a knack at finding what makes someone beautiful in their unique way and then amplifying it!
I have been working as a makeup artist in the New England area for 12 years now (or over 20 years if you count using my Moms makeup to dazzle my dolls when I was young) Most of my clients are brides! I am blessed to be able to collaborate with photographers and models from all over the country. I have had the opportunity to help salons, moms, pageant girls, teens, and grandmoms freshen up their makeup skills by teaching group classes all over New England. I was able to be a pageant sponsor in 2014, & 2015 And the newest most recent makeup adventure has been getting my feet wet in the film industry being part of the productions makeup team.
The most rewarding aspect of my career has been the fact that I've helped to build the confidence of so many women I have worked with.

reviews! I titled it Makeup Mermaid because I (along with most girls I am sure) am a mermaid wannabe. I love makeup & mermaids. I'm positive if mermaids were real, I would be one! :)
